ommon problems in the use of anhydrous taphole clay
1. Reasons for the difficulty of taphole clay:
1) The slag iron is not exhausted, and the iron hole is not sprayed or the iron hole is blocked by the false wind, which increases the resistance in the iron hole.
2) The iron hole is too far from the center, and it is not on the same center line as the taphole clay, which makes the taphole clay not spit out smoothly.
3) When the iron mouth is opened, it is not completely penetrated, the center of the iron mouth leaks, and the mud bag exists at the front, and the resistance is large when muddying.
4) The large pieces of falling off the furnace wall are not completely melted, and pile up in front of the iron hole channel, which increases the mud resistance.
5) Due to the resistance change in the furnace, the hearth works unevenly, and the iron hole that cannot be driven into the mud is not very active, and there is not enough space for the taphole clay to enter.
6) The furnace temperature fluctuates greatly. When the molten iron temperature is too high or too low, the slag iron is not easy to expand.
7) The taphole clay can be combined with the transition tube or used for too long storage time, the taphole clay becomes dry and hard, and the filling makes the taphole clay cannot be dripping.
8) When the taphole clay is putting in sections, the intermediate pause time is longer, so that the forward friction of the taphole clay in the iron mouth increases and cannot be pushed.
9) Excluding all external factors, the taphole clay cannon suddenly can't get into the taphole, which is caused by the excessively high Marsha value of the cannon mud itself.
On-site solution: You can use gas to burn the taphole clay before mud cannon to increase the temperature of the taphole clay.
Formula adjustment method: increase the amount of tar added, adjust the clay, adjust the clay to increase the mixing time.
2. Low pressure of taphole clay:
Need to adjust the strength ratio, the ratio of clay, and reduce the amount of tar added.
3. The iron mouth is difficult to open:
We should first analyze where it is difficult to drill holes in the iron hole. Different positions mean different reasons. The sintering performance of taphole clay at different temperatures is different. On the one hand, it may be caused by large cracks in the clay; on the other hand, the difficulty of opening usually occurs in the ultra-deep iron hole, because the ultra-deep iron hole is prone to cracks in the mud and iron leakage occurs. The drill bit used is severely worn, the cutting ability is weakened and cannot penetrate the red hot hard shell at the front end of the "clay bag", and the strong hammering force of the opening machine will easily cause the "clay bag" at the front end of the iron mouth to crack and produce slag iron. The third is that the Masha value of the taphole clay is too high.
On-site solution: If iron leakage is found in the taphole, plug it in time, and if the tapping conditions are available, tap the iron in time, and reduce the wind appropriately. When re-mudging, it is necessary to reduce clay volume, increase taphole clay pressure, reduce taphole clay rate, intermittent mud, through intermittent mud, the newly entered taphole clay will make up for the cracks in the sintered taphole clay , Use physical means to reduce iron leakage, but it requires the cooperation of the operator in front of the furnace.
Formula adjustment method: reduce the amount of clay added, and adjust the solution by adding an appropriate amount of expansion agent.
4. The iron mouth is flared too fast:
Adjust Al2O3 to increase hot metal scour resistance, and adjust SiC to increase slag resistance.
5. Reasons for splashing:
1) Operation in the furnace, water leakage in the furnace, water leakage in the small sleeve (in the tuyere casing)
2) Gas leakage from the iron mouth (the iron mouth is shallow)
3) Poor sintering of taphole clay has faults, and the volatile matter in taphole clay tar (volatility is divided into high temperature or external factors that cause certain components in the material to volatilize into gas).
4) The temperature of the furnace is too high and the iron hole will squirt the steel pieces.
5) The porosity is too high (caused by the taphole clay itself), (air permeability) is mainly due to two reasons ① In the case of low porosity, the volatile content of the taphole clay itself cannot be ruled out, it can only be caused when the iron is tapped. splash. ②The porosity is too high, the density of the taphole clay in the iron mouth is low, and the strength is low. The molten iron penetrates into the taphole clay, causing the taphole clay to break into small pieces, which will cause splashing during scouring.
On-site solution: Eliminate the factors of equipment and blast furnace. If the quality of the blasting mud is caused, the speed of blasting mud can be reduced and the blasting time can be sintered; when opening, the opening can be half of the time, and after stopping for 5-10 minutes, Then open the mouth to fully burn the taphole clay.
Recipe adjustment method: reduce tar content, increase coke powder amount, improve sintering performance, and reduce gas leakage.
6. The iron mouth is too short:
The main reason for the shallow taphole is that the poor strength of the taphole clay is related to the operation pressure of the mud gun, and it is also caused by the abnormal furnace temperature. Increase the metal powder, improve the quality of the clay, adjust the strength distribution, close the top of the iron mouth, and increase the amount of mud.
7. The "Clay bag" is easy to break:
It is related to the way the iron mouth opens
On-site solution: reduce the high temperature strength, reduce the penetration speed of the mud gun, increase the mud pressure, increase the amount of graphite added, and adjust the shape of the mud bag, increase the ductility, and reduce the high temperature strength;
Recipe adjustment: reduce the amount of tar and increase the amount of mica, it takes 10-20min to suffocate.
8. Clay leakage:
The main reason is that the taphole is damaged or the slag iron is not clean and sticks to the taphole channel. Another situation is that the taphole clay is too soft and becomes thinner at high temperatures.
On-site solution: clean up the contact surface of the mud cannon and delay the retreat time when the mud cannon is driven.
Formula adjustment method: reduce the amount of binder and asphalt powder added. asphalt
9. Run the big stream:
The main reason is that the taphole clay is not resistant to erosion, and the diameter expansion is too large during tapping. On the other hand, because the addition of the taphole clay binder is too high, the low temperature sintering performance of the taphole clay deteriorates. After the gun is withdrawn, the furnace The internal pressure pushes the taphole clay passively out of the iron mouth.
On-site solution: immediately stop the use of this batch of taphole clay, and mix it with other batches of taphole clay in different proportions.
Formula adjustment method: add more silicon carbide, fine-tune the amount of clay, increase the mixing time, and make it evenly mixed.
