2. Key points for the construction of chrome corundum castables on gasifiers
1•Preparation before construction: Check the surface of the base layer of the gasifier construction site to ensure that it is flat, clean, free of oil and loose materials. Check the chrome corundum castable to ensure that it is not damp or lumpy. Prepare construction tools and equipment such as mixers and vibrators.
2•Mixing: Use a forced mixer to add water and stir according to the specified water-to-material ratio. The stirring time is generally 3-5 minutes to ensure uniform mixing.
3•Pouring: Pour the stirred castable into the mold or construction site continuously to avoid stratification and interruption. Use a vibrator to vibrate. The vibration should be uniform until the surface is slurry and no bubbles are discharged. Be careful to avoid over-vibration.
4•Curing: After pouring, the mold can be removed after 24 hours of natural curing at room temperature. Keep the surface moist during curing and avoid direct sunlight and wind. The curing time is generally 3-7 days.
5•Baking: Before use, it must be baked according to the specified baking curve. The heating speed should not be too fast to prevent problems such as bursting due to rapid evaporation of water.
