The refractory bricks are molded using molds. The shape and geometry of the molds are designed according to the shape of the product. The structure consists of mold frames, plates and form work. Used for the mold assembly structure of the shaped square brick is shown in Fig. The template is subjected to the forming pressure applied by the press and causes a great friction between the brick and the form work. Because the surface of this template is easy to wear, the general wear of 0.3 ~ 0.4mm is not allowed to continue to use, which requires a good wear-resistant template performance. The material of the template is carbon steel, high chromium alloy steel, high chromium cast iron, cemented carbide and cemented carbide. Commonly used are the following two categories. Carbon steel template with low and medium carbon steel through gas carbonitriding heat treatment to the steel surface while infiltration of carbon and nitrogen, to improve the surface hardness and wear resistance.
