The requirements for refractory mud which is complete with refractory brick

1.Sufficient refractoriness

2.Sufficient bonding strength,could be combined in the working temperature of the masonry into a solid one.

3.Smaller dry shrinkage and high temperature residual shrinkage, without crack after high temperature service ;

4.Apparent porosity and low permeability, good air tightness

5.The coefficient of thermal expansion is consistent with that of refractory bricks. As the blast furnace and its subsidiary parts of the working temperature and operating conditions are different, different masonry should be used in different varieties and composition of the mud.
