How to improve the strength of high temperature resistance refractory firebricks

Jun 22,2018

1, Using the low-temperature for long time burning

Sintered refractory bricks are now commonly doped with internal combustion, and many use "high-temperature short-burning" to increase production. The long-term practice has proved that the use of "high-temperature short-firing" firing methods for internal combustion bricks has a certain impact on improving the quality of firebrick products. The products often have phenomena such as black hearts, black defects, cracks, and embossing, and the compressive strength is also reduced. More serious is the increase in coal consumption, waste of energy, there is no protection of the ecological environment. Therefore, it is recommended to use "low-temperature long-term firing", which uses low-temperature long-term firing at an internal combustion rate of about 80%. From 650 to 900 °C, the interval should not be less than 6 hours from 900 to the end of the firing sintering , should not be less than 6h, so that a total of 12h is required, the internal combustion of the center of the blank can be completely burned, and can fully exert its full thermal energy effect.

2, it is the key to properly increase the temperature of sintered firebricks

Through long-term verification, the same material, the same brick machine produced bricks, different baking temperatures, sintered firebrick strength is not the same. The test results show that the compressive strength of the brick increases with the firing temperature of the tunnel kiln.

3, appropriately extend the holding time.

Tests show that the same raw materials, the same brick machine, the same temperature, cooling rate, sintering temperature is 900 °C, different holding time, the compressive strength of the sintered brick is not the same, the appropriate time to heat, to improve the sintering brick Compressive strength and quality are beneficial.

4, the increase in the pressure of forming bricks, so that the density of refractory bricks increased, only to increase the density of bricks to burn out high-strength sintered brick. The refractory brick bricks with a forming pressure of 2.2-2.3 MPa, the compressive strength of the fired bricks is generally 13.9-15MPa, and the bricks with a forming pressure of 3 MPa can easily reach a compressive strength of 20 MPa.
