The properties of the casting material based on aluminum-magnesium spinel are as follows:
The properties of the casting material of aluminum and magnesium spinel
1• High heat resistance: Because aluminum-magnesium spinel has a high melting point, the casting material can withstand the heat of the high temperature molten steel in the ladle. It is generally stable under high temperature conditions of more than 1600 °C and is not easy to soften or deform.
2• Corrosion resistance: Effectively resists the chemical erosion of steel slag. The low reactivity of spinel and steelmaking slag components can prevent the corrosion of the casting material caused by steelmaking slag and extend the service life.
3• Thermal shock resistance: When using buckets, frequent temperature changes may cause thermal stress. Cast concrete based on magnesium-aluminum spinel has excellent heat resistance and can withstand thermal shock during rapid cooling and heating. It will not crack or peel off.
4• Scratch resistance: When molten steel is charged, poured and mixed, molten steel and slag will scratch the ladle lining. Cast concrete has a dense structure and high strength, and is resistant to scratches caused by molten steel and slag.
5• Volume stability: Even under high temperatures, the volume of molten magnesium aluminum spinel concrete does not change significantly, so the integrity of the ladle lining is maintained and the damage to the lining structure caused by volume change can be avoided.
Application of cast concrete based on aluminum magnesium spinel to ladles
1• Extend the service life of the bucket: With excellent performance, it can effectively reduce the damage to the bucket lining during use, extend the service life of the bucket, reduce the frequency of bucket maintenance and replacement, improve production efficiency and reduce production costs.
2• Improve the safety of the ladle: Stable operation can ensure the safety of the ladle during the storage and transportation of molten steel and reduce the possibility of safety accidents such as molten steel leakage caused by lining damage.
3• Adaptability to various steel types and processes: Whether it is ordinary carbon steel, alloy steel or stainless steel, aluminum magnesium spinel casting products can adapt to the corresponding temperature and composition of molten steel and meet the requirements of various ladle lining steel production processes.
4• Low refractory consumption: Compared with other refractories, aluminum magnesium spinel castings have a longer service life and consume less refractory per ton of steel, which can help enterprises reduce the cost of purchasing and using refractories.
